What are Booking Fees?

Whenever a Customer makes a Booking, ZeroDegrees charges you, the Service Provider, a Booking Fee, starting at 18% of the Booking total plus a flat fee of €0.25. The Booking Fee is automatically deducted from your Payout for that Booking. Booking Fees apply only to Bookings (Reservations are exempt).

Why does ZeroDegrees charge Booking Fees?

The Booking Fee charged covers business activities such as customer support, processing of payment from the Customer, sending of Payout to the Service Provider, customer reviews, cancellations and refunds and other operational activities.

What is the Booking Fee Structure?

The Booking Fee is structured in tiers according to your net sales volume during your ongoing subscription to one of our plans. The higher the net sales volume, the lower the Booking Fee. Net sales volume is defined as the sum of Booking Totals of all completed Bookings to which the sum of all refunded Booking Totals has been deducted. Booking Fee tiers are as follows:

  • Seed (net sales volume up to €5,000): 18% + €0.25
  • Sprout (net sales volume up to €25,000): 17% + €0.25
  • Maturity (net sales volume up to €50,000): 16% + €0.25
  • Harvest (net sales volume over €50,000): 15% + €0.25

However, in order to progress into each of the Booking Fee tiers above, you must additionally meet the following quality of service standards:

  • a cancellation rate (denial of service) of up to 10% of all bookings received,
  • a refund rate of up to 5% of all completed bookings,
  • a positive rating, where at least 90% of all ratings are 4 stars or higher.

Where can I find the Booking Fee charged for my Service?

To find out the booking fee charged, go to your ZeroDegrees account, then Services or Calendar and click on the Service. Scroll down to Order details, where you will find the booking fee amount and tier at the time the booking was made by the Customer.
