Off-topic, out-of-context, irrelevant, plagiarised, profane or obscene content are not permitted in our platform

Content is defined as text, media (such as video, audio and images, including photos, symbols and logos) and its metadata that is published (i) anywhere on the ZeroDegrees Platform or (ii) elsewhere, if it is referenced in Content published on our Platform, including clickable URLs within text or videos or audio where users are verbally directed to other sites.
A Member that publishes Content on the ZeroDegrees Platform is considered its Author. Content may take various forms, including Profiles, Listings, Articles, Recipes, Groups, Posts, Mentions, Comments, Reviews and Messages, as well as “Account Information” such as first name, last name, username and display name. Authors are responsible for keeping Content as well as Account Information up-to-date and accurate at all times. By publishing Content, in whatever form and through whatever means, you agree to comply with this policy and our other Terms and Policies.
The following Content is not allowed on the ZeroDegrees Platform:
Off-topic Content. ZeroDegrees is a platform for the promotion of health and well-being and for the prevention of disease and this is the subject matter.
Illegal or Prohibited Activities. Content that is illegal or that endorses or promotes illegal, prohibited or harmful activities as defined in section 19 of our Terms of Service.
Violent or Hateful Content. Content that is violent, threatening, harassing or abusive (please review our Hate Speech Policy for more information).
Discriminatory Content. Content that discriminates on the basis of characteristics such as race, colour, ethnicity, nationality, descent, religion, immigration status, marital status, sex/gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, familial status, disability or serious disease (please review our Non-discrimination Policy for more information).
Disinformative or Misinformative Content. Content that is not scientifically sound or that references sources that have not been published in peer-reviewed high-impact scientific journals (please review our Disinformation and Misinformation Policy for more information).
Plagiarised or Self-Plagiarised Content. Content that has been (i) plagiarised, i.e. where the Author uses someone else’s work as their own without fully acknowledging it, or (ii) self-plagiarised, also known as text recycling, i.e., where the Author uses textual material they have previously authored in other works.
Out-of-Context Content. Content that contains factually accurate information mixed with false contextual information, e.g. when headlines, visuals or captions of an article do not reflect the content.
Profane or Obscene Content. Content that uses language that is socially deemed as rude, indecent or offensive, and which may include cursing, swearing, obscenities or expletives.
Promotion of Unhealthy Habits. Content that promotes unhealthy behaviour, including but not limited to, smoking or the consumption of alcohol.
Irrelevant Content. Content that is irrelevant, does not ask a question, or does not offer knowledge in response to a question as part of a larger discussion.
ZeroDegrees’s Trademark Violations. Content that includes the ZeroDegrees name, the ZeroDegrees logo, Verified badges, as well as all words, slogans, icons, logos, graphics, designs, and other indicators that identify ZeroDegrees or our services or products (please review our Trademark Policy for more information).
Public Health Violations. Content that violates applicable local public health regulations.
Intellectual Property Violations: Content that violates another person’s or entity’s intellectual property rights, including:
Copyrighted work such as music, videos, photography, or literature unless the work was created or properly licensed by the Author, or is in the public domain,
Trademarks (e.g. brand names), and
Individual names (e.g. celebrities) that suggest an endorsement or affiliation with the Author, without their express authorisation.
Privacy Violation. Content that infringes another person’s privacy rights, including divulging another person’s private or confidential information without their express authorisation in a manner that is sufficient to identify that person.
Review Policy Violation. Reviews that are off-topic or irrelevant to the Service being reviewed or that exhibit indications of extortion/incentivisation, conflicts of interest, or direct competition (please review our Review Policy for more information).
Media Policy Violation. Content that infringes our Media Guidelines (please review our Media Policy for more information).
2. Content Policy Violation
If you find Content on the ZeroDegrees Platform that violates this policy, please report it by clicking the report button. Our team will investigate reports of Content in violation of this policy.
If Content is found to violate this policy, we will remove the content and we may additionally suspend the account for a period of time. When determining the length of the suspension period for violating this policy, we consider a number of factors including the severity of the violation and the Member’s previous record of violations across all our Terms and Policies. We will send the Member an email to inform of our decision. Subsequent violations will lead to longer suspension periods and may eventually result in termination of the account, pursuant to section 17 of our Terms.
