These Rewards Terms and Conditions (“Rewards Terms”) govern your participation in our Rewards Program. To participate in our Rewards Program, Members must agree to these Rewards Terms and to our Terms of ServicePayment Terms of ServicePrivacy Policy and other terms that apply to your use of the ZeroDegrees Platform (collectively, “ZeroDegrees Terms”). Capitalized terms used in these Rewards Terms and not defined here have the meanings given to them in the ZeroDegrees Terms.

1. Overview

Our Rewards Program allows participating Members to earn rewards when they take certain actions on the ZeroDegrees platform. These rewards may take the form of points or badges. When a certain number of points are reached, Members may also progress along certain ranks. Members can consult their earned points, badges and ranks by logging into their ZeroDegrees account. Badges and ranks earned by Members are published on their profiles and are visible by other Members. The top 10 highest point earners are disclosed on leaderboards for certain point types. Leaderboards are visible by any member on their ZeroDegrees account.

2. Points

2.1. Zedos

Zedos points are issued for promotional purposes only and can only be earned and redeemed via the ZeroDegrees Platform. Zedos points have no cash value and cannot be resold or exchanged for cash, except to the extent required by law. Zedos points do not expire but may be subject to applicable unclaimed property laws.

2.1.1. Accruing Zedos

There are multiple ways to earn Zedos on the ZeroDegrees Platform. You can earn Zedos by:

  • Registering for a new ZeroDegrees account: 10 Zedos
  • Subscribing the ZeroDegrees Newsletter: 10 Zedos
  • Completing your ZeroDegrees profile: 10 Zedos
  • Receiving Zedos from another member
  • Making a Qualifying Purchase: 1 Zedos per 1€ spent
  • Reviewing a first-time Booking: 1 Zedos
  • Referred Member First Booking:  10 Zedos
  • Referred Service Provider: a commission of at least 20% of the subscription total (please see our Referrals Terms and Conditions for more information).

The term “Qualifying Purchase” refers to services you book, gift cards you purchase for yourself or for someone else or subscriptions you make to one of our plans, where the Total is greater than zero. Purchases where the service or product is free, or that have been fully refunded or fully offset by the use of Service Provider coupons, Gift Cards or Zedos are not eligible to earn Zedos points. Services scheduled as Reservations are also not eligible to earn Zedos points (i.e. only services scheduled as a Booking earn Zedos points).

Customers can also earn Zedos when they review a Booking for the first time. If a customer has booked a service multiple times, and reviewed that service multiple times, only the first review is eligible for earning Zedos. Reservations cannot be reviewed and therefore are not eligible for earning Zedos.

The timing for the award of Zedos depends on the type of purchase made. If a service was booked, Zedos are credited on the member’s account 24 hours after the booking is complete, whereas if a subscription or gift card was purchased, Zedos will be immediately credited upon successful payment.

If for any reason you believe there is a discrepancy regarding your Zedos balance, please contact us. Missing Zedos claims must be submitted within 1 month of the presumed accrual date and we may require you to submit additional information in order to make a determination. All decisions regarding your Zedos balance will be final and at our sole discretion.

2.1.2. Redeeming Zedos

Zedos points can be used at checkout to redeem a cash discount when making a purchase. The Zedos conversion rate is 10:1, where 10 Zedos are equivalent to 1€ cash discount. This essentially means that, at the moment, every time you make a purchase on the ZeroDegrees platform and earn Zedos, you are getting a 10% cashback on your purchase.

You can choose the amount of Zedos that you wish to redeem during the checkout process. You must have accrued a minimum of 50 Zedos points in your ZeroDegrees account and have scheduled at least one booking before you can start redeeming your Zedos points. Zedos redemption will be unlocked 24 hours after your first booking ends.

To redeem Zedos points on a subscription renewal, you must manually renew your subscription by going to the subscription page and clicking on the “Renew Now” button after which you will be redirected to the checkout page where you can enter the amount of Zedos you wish to redeem.

2.1.3. Gifting Zedos

You can gift your Zedos to another registered user of the ZeroDegrees platform. You must use the email with which the user registered on the ZeroDegrees platform. You must gift a minimum of 100 Zedos, so you must have accrued that amount of Zedos in your ZeroDegrees account before you can gift your Zedos.

2.1.4. Taxes

You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for any tax consequences that may result from your use or redemption of Zedos points, including the determination in your jurisdiction of (i) applicable tax reporting requirements, and (ii) any taxes that should be paid in connection with redeeming Zedos points. Where applicable, ZeroDegrees may be required to account for VAT on any purchases made on the ZeroDegrees platform where Zedos are redeemed.

2.2. Zellers

Service Providers will earn 1 Zeller point per each 1€ of the Booking Total for services booked by their customers. Zellers are credited on the member’s account 24 hours after the booking is complete. No Zeller points are awarded if the Booking Total is zero due to for example, the service booked being free or Service Provider coupons being used to fully offset the booking price. No Zeller points are awarded if the booking is fully refunded or cancelled. Services whose type of scheduling is Reservation or External Booking are not eligible to earn Zeller points.

2.3. Zales

Service Providers will earn 1 Zale point for each booking made by their customers. Zales points are earned even if the Booking Total is zero. Zales are credited on the member’s account 24 hours after the booking is complete. No Zale points are awarded if the booking is fully refunded or cancelled. Services where the type of scheduling is External Booking are not eligible to earn Zale points.

2.4. Zocialites

Members will earn 1 Zocialite point when:

  • a friend or family member they referred registers for an account with ZeroDegrees;
  • they register for an account with ZeroDegrees via an existing Member’s referral link.

2.5. Zriters

Service Providers will earn 1 Zriter point when they publish an article on the ZeroDegrees Platform.

2.6. Zchefs

Members will earn 1 Zchef point when they publish an original and healthy recipe on the ZeroDegrees Platform.

2.7. Zcorers

Members will earn 1 Zcorer point when they review a service they booked. Reservations are not eligible for accruing Zcorers.

2.8. Zelflesses

Members will earn 1 Zelfless point when they attend a volunteering service.

3. Badges

3.1. Visionary

Members will earn a Visionary badge if they are amongst the first 1,000 Members to register for a ZeroDegrees account.

3.2. Pioneer

Members will earn a Pioneer badge if they are amongst 1,001 – 10,000 Members to register for a ZeroDegrees account.

3.3. Enthusiast

Members will earn an Enthusiast badge if they are amongst 10,001 – 100,000 Members to register for a ZeroDegrees account.

3.4. Probiotics Master

Members will earn a Probiotics Master badge if they publish a listing for each of the probiotics categories, i.e., a kefir listing, a water kefir listing and a scoby listing.

3.5. Adrenaline Junkie

Members will earn an Adrenaline Junkie badge when they attend at least 1 air adrenaline service, 1 water adrenaline service and 1 terra firma adrenaline service. An air adrenaline service is a service in one of the following categories: paragliding, hang-gliding, acro-paragliding, skydiving or wingsuit base jumping. A water adrenaline service is a service in one of the following categories:  rafting, cavern diving, cave diving, canyoning, flyboard or kitesurfing. A terra firma adrenaline service is a service in one of the following categories: rock climbing, cliff climbing, ice climbing, rappelling, zip lining, bungee jumping, potholing, survival training or trekking.

4. Ranks

4.1. Seller

Service Providers will progress on the Seller ranks by accruing the following amount of Zeller points:

  • Sprout rank: 5,000 Zellers
  • Tree rank: 25,000 Zellers
  • Harvest rank: 50,000 Zellers

4.2. Sales

Service Providers will progress on the Sales ranks by accruing the following amount of Zale points:

  • Sales Puppy rank: 500 Zales
  • Sales Junior rank: 5,000 Zales
  • Sales Wolf rank: 25,000 Zales

4.3. Social

Members will progress on the Social ranks by accruing the following amount of Zocialite points:

  • Social Caterpillar rank: 10 Zocialites
  • Social Chrysalis rank: 50 Zocialites
  • Social Butterfly rank: 250 Zocialites

4.4. Writer

Members will progress on the Writer ranks by accruing the following amount of Zriter points:

  • Novice rank: 10 Zriters
  • Proficient rank: 25 Zriters
  • Expert rank: 50 Zriters

4.5. Chef

Members will progress on the Chef ranks by accruing the following amount of Zchef points:

  • Station Chef rank: 10 Zchefs
  • Sous Chef rank: 25 Zchefs
  • Head Chef rank: 50 Zchefs

4.6. Reviewer

Members will progress on the Reviewer ranks by accruing the following amount of Zcorer points:

  • Beginner rank: 10 Zcorers
  • Pro rank: 50 Zcorers
  • Master rank: 250 Zcorers

4.7. Volunteer

Members will progress on the Volunteer ranks by accruing the following amount of Zelfless points:

  • Bronze rank: 10 Zelfless
  • Silver rank: 25 Zelfless
  • Gold rank: 50 Zelfless

5. Severability

If any provision in these terms is found to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which will continue to apply. Any provision which is found to be invalid will be replaced with a provision that comes as close as possible to the purpose of the invalid provision.

6. Program Administration

ZeroDegrees will determine, at its sole discretion, whether the Program requirements have been satisfied and whether any Rewards are due. We reserve the right to review and investigate all reward activities and to apply any remedy deemed fair and appropriate, at our sole discretion, including disqualifying you from participation in this Program, adjusting or removing points, badges or ranks and suspending or terminating your account, if we suspect or detect (i) any activity that we believe is dishonest or abusive, (ii) that you have committed fraud, tampered or otherwise violated these terms, our Terms of Service or Payments Terms of Service, or (iii) that technical errors have occurred.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a Member’s account and charge alternative Payment Methods if fraudulently claimed Zedos points are redeemed to make purchases on the ZeroDegrees Platform.

7. Termination

ZeroDegrees may terminate this Rewards Program or a member’s ability to participate in it at any time and for any reason without liability. The termination of a Member’s ZeroDegrees account will result in the deletion of any points, badges and ranks earned by the Member, including the forfeiture of any unused Zedos points. The rights and obligations of the parties under these Terms will survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.

8. Changes to these Rewards Tems

ZeroDegrees reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, at any time and for any reason, modify, discontinue or suspend any requirements or benefits, including the scope, variety, and type of services or products that may be obtained by redeeming Zedos points, by posting an update on this page. We will also provide you with notice of any material changes by email at least thirty (30) days before the date they become effective, and where the changes are to your detriment, we will inform you about your right to terminate your Terms of Service Agreement with ZeroDegrees. By continuing to access or use the ZeroDegrees Platform after the changes to these terms become effective, you are agreeing that the Terms are acceptable to you and binding on you. If the modified Terms are not acceptable to you, your only recourse is to terminate your Agreement with ZeroDegrees before the date the revised Rewards Terms become effective.
