Think of your listing as an advertisement for yourself and your services. Your listing page is your first opportunity to attract potential customers, so you will want to make it as compelling as possible. Use the title, description, amenities and photos to give customers a sense of what you offer, while being honest about any quirks. Your listing should highlight what is unique about your service to help customers understand what makes it special and sets it apart.

Title

The title is one of the most important features of your listing and should be very carefully chosen. When writing the title, highlight what makes your service special while being as short as possible. Titles that are too long can overwhelm or confuse visitors. On the other hand, because titles are automatically converted into URLs, shorter titles make it easier for you to direct people to your content and for visitors to share a link to your page.

Titles must not include:

  • emojis, symbols or punctuation, except for hyphens,
  • the words “verified”, “official”, “ZeroDegrees” or any variation thereof or any other content that violates our Trademark Policy,
  • fewer than three characters,
  • only numbers (all URLs must contain at least one letter),
  • only the category or the geographic location (e.g. Cross Fit or San Francisco).

Optimising the title for search engines can help generate more traffic to your listings, attract more customers and grow your business. Make sure to conduct a keyword research using an online tool and include your primary keywords in the title. Please read our SEO Guidelines for more information.

Description

When writing the description, highlight those unique and uncommon details that make your service special and sets you apart. Write a thorough description that sets expectations and captures all that customers should know about your service before scheduling. You should provide a clear outline of what customers will be doing, how they will be engaging with the activity, or interacting with each other, and include goals, learnings and takeaways, if applicable. For trips, the itinerary must be pre-defined, i.e. “open-ended” itineraries where customers are asked to choose activities or locations are not permitted, although minor variations may be allowed to address occasional weather or safety concerns.

Describe how you are considering all the details, while being warm and thoughtful, and ensuring that customers feel safe, engaged, and connected throughout the service. Avoid duplicating information that appears in other sections of the listing. And remember to be realistic: misleading customers or promising something that is not delivered can lead to disappointment and result in negative reviews. Use consistent, inclusive and gender-neutral language to make every customer feel welcome and signal that you welcome people of all backgrounds and identities.

Share important details

Sharing important details sets customer expectations and helps your listing stand out.

  • Add the location and public transport options so that customers know how to reach you.
  • Set the price and tax class (you can customise the price per adult/child, offer group discounts and charge a different price for times like weekends, bank holidays or specific seasons).
  • List features and amenities such as wifi, pet-friendly, free parking, air conditioning, heating, etc.
  • Add what is included in the service like tea, coffee or water.
  • List items that customers should bring with them such as sunscreen, hat or towel.
  • Include safety tips to make customers aware of any potential hazards.
  • Share requirements to help customers understand what is expected of them such as minimum age, skill level or intensity level.

Choose captivating photos

Customers enjoy browsing through beautiful photos when looking for inspiration and making a decision on which service to schedule. You should use at least 6 high-quality photos that capture the essence of the service and showcase your personality and style.

Choose the cover photo carefully because it appears in search results and may be the customer’s first point of contact with your offerings. It should depict a person or persons enjoying the service you are providing. The other photos should tell the rest of the story while highlighting what is unique about your service. Set your availability

Whether a few days a month or every day of the year, how you run your business is up to you. You can set your working hours in your profile and set a custom availability for each of your services (or use your business working hours). You can also specify how much advance notice you need or how far ahead customers can schedule.

Keep your availability up-to-date to avoid cancellations by blocking dates and times when you are not available. Cancellations have consequences for you, such as fees and progression in the booking fee tiers, and can result in disappointment for your customers.
